Frenship ISD Names Chelsey Campbell as the Principal of Frenship's Second High School

Campbell takes on this new role with a wealth of knowledge as she enters her 20th year in education.

Campbell joined the Frenship family in 2017 and is in her sixth year of serving as the Heritage Middle School Principal. Recently, she was honored for her outstanding leadership as the 2021 Region 17 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. In addition to serving in a principal role for 10 years, Campbell has also served as a teacher and counselor.

“I feel honored and blessed that Frenship ISD has trusted me with such a big opportunity and responsibility that comes with opening our second high school. We will be celebrating Frenship’s 90th birthday when we open Memorial High School, and I’m excited to help the district during such a monumental time in our history,” said Campbell.

Designated as one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas, Frenship currently serves approximately 3,300 high school students. The opening of Memorial High School will help accommodate the rising student enrollment and alleviate crowding at Frenship High School.

Over the next year and a half, Campbell will work on the logistics of opening the second high school including staffing, campus procedures, and ensuring the facility and programs are equitable to Frenship High School.

Campbell received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s from Wayland Baptist University. She and her husband Cody have two daughters who attend Frenship ISD schools.
