United Supermarkets Kicks Off Back-to-School Supply Drive

With the first day of school just around the corner, it's time to stock up on school supplies! United Supermarkets is helping gear up for the year with its annual Back-to-School Supply Drive. Since 2011, United Supermarkets has hosted a School Supply Drive to help raise funds for Lubbock area students to receive school supplies.

To kick off the Drive Dr. McCord along with other local school districts had the opportunity to fill their carts and shop for school supplies with a $150 United Supermarkets gift card. The supplies gathered will be donated to students.

“We are so grateful to have community partners like The United Family that go above and beyond to support education across the South Plains and here at Frenship ISD,” said Dr. McCord. “This school supply drive will impact all 16 campuses at Frenship, and it is a crucial piece in preparing our students for success as we prepare to kick off another great school year.”

The School Supply Drive will run from July 17-30, 2024.

Guests shopping at United Supermarkets are encouraged to donate at the register instead of purchasing physical school supplies for donation barrels. This process will allow guests to donate any amount at the register when purchasing groceries at any United Supermarkets, Market Street, or Amigo's location.
