Frenship ISD is entering a new chapter for one of its longest-standing campuses as Reese Education Center officially becomes Aspire Learning Academy beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Along with its new name, the campus will relocate to the west side of the Frenship Professional Learning Center at 500 Main Street in Wolfforth, continuing its mission of providing personalized learning and support for students.
The transition follows a collaborative campus effort earlier this year that invited staff, students, and parents to help reimagine the school's identity. The result is a name that reflects the resilience, determination, and limitless potential of the students the campus serves while aligning with its mission of equipping students to aspire and acquire an exceptional future.
The campus has a long and meaningful history within Frenship ISD. Originally opened in 1954 as Reese Elementary, the school primarily served families stationed at the neighboring Reese Air Force Base. Following the closure of the base in 1997, the campus transitioned the following year into Frenship's alternative high school, proudly carrying the Reese name for nearly three decades.
Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, Aspire Learning Academy will continue that legacy from its new location at the Frenship Professional Learning Center.
The Professional Learning Center is one of the district's most historic facilities. Originally opened in 1935 as Frenship's first high school, the building later became home to Frenship Middle School after the current Frenship High School opened in 1980. Following the opening of Memorial High School and the relocation of Frenship Middle School to its new campus in 2025, the building is being renovated to serve multiple district needs, including professional learning spaces and the new home of Aspire Learning Academy.
The relocation is part of Frenship ISD's continued efforts to meet the needs of its growing student population while maximizing existing facilities. Renovations to the Professional Learning Center are being completed in phases to create updated learning environments for both students and staff.
As Aspire Learning Academy begins this new chapter, the campus will continue building on a legacy that spans more than 70 years while empowering students to reach their fullest potential and prepare for successful futures.
