Frenship ISD Reaches New Heights in Enrollment

When Frenship ISD opened its doors this week, it welcomed a record 9,827 students. This year’s largest class is sixth grade at 854 students, followed by fifth and seventh grades at 798 and 732 students respectively.

Last year FISD had 9,509 students enrolled on the first day of school. The highest enrollment day in the 2017-2018 school year was 9,714.

FISD is one of 75 districts in Texas, or 7.3 percent of all school districts in the state, designated as a Fast Growth District. This means that FISD has an enrollment of at least 2,500 students and that enrollment growth has been at least 10 percent over the past five years. FISD is on a 3 percent growth trajectory on average each year, growing 11.35 percent in five years.

The almost 10,000 students in FISD span 14 campuses across Lubbock and Wolfforth.
